Bringing pets and people closer together

Our vision is a world where all pets are cared for in loving homes for life.

We are proud to be the pet charity that makes a difference to the lives of pets and people across the UK – bringing them closer together, as seen in Channel 4’s TV series The Dog House.

The Dog House

Wood Green are extremely proud to be the focus of an eight-part documentary series called The Dog House. Tune in to Channel 4 every Thursday at 8pm to see how we match homeless dogs with the perfect new owners, and get a fascinating insight into our work and the huge difference it makes.

Become a fosterer

The animals at Wood Green are given the best care and attention - but many feel much happier in a loving home. Fostering is a great way to give pets some extra love and respite while they’re waiting for their forever home.

My son spotted Perry on the Wood Green website – just a few days later, he came home with me. Life just wouldn’t be the same without Perry – he makes me laugh and love every day, and he keeps me fit too!

Wood Green did a wonderful job of nursing Baz back to health, but he was terrified of the world. Over the last two years, he’s transformed into a gentle, sweet-natured, highly intelligent dog with a well-developed sense of humour!

When our old dog died I missed him terribly, but we decided not to have another. Volunteering at Wood Green means I get my ‘doggy fix’ at the same time as helping a good cause.

It makes me so happy to be able to leave a gift in my Will knowing I can help other vulnerable animals in the future. It’s the least I can do to help abandoned animals have a chance of happiness, and a loving family to take care of them.
