What is Trap-Neuter-Return?

Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) is a method used by some organisations to control feral cat colonies by reducing the number of kittens being born in the wild. This is done by setting traps to safely capture feral cats, swiftly taking them to the vets to be neutered and then returning them to the same area they know and love.

Feral cat colonies can grow rapidly, especially if left unneutered. They are also more likely to fight with each other and risk spreading disease.

Although Woodgreen are currently unable to TNR, we can lend traps and we would recommend speaking to a local vet who can help with neutering.
