At Wood Green, our doors are open for abandoned and injured pets all year round, including the festive season. At this time of year, life for homeless pets can get even tougher as they endure starvation in freezing cold temperatures, as well as the constant threat of danger to their lives.
This Christmas, it is sadly inevitable that many pets will be abandoned or mistreated. Like Nipper, who was found last year on the streets in a truly shocking state. And Shai, cruelly thrown away in a bin like rubbish.
After being found, Nipper and Shai received the treatment they urgently needed at Wood Green and fully recovered. Today, both are enjoying life with their new owners in a loving home where they feel warm, safe and happy.
With your support, our dedicated teams can give homeless pets the shelter and care they desperately need – and a second chance at happiness.
