Could you star in The Dog House?
If you're looking for a match, filming for the next series starts this Spring.
Dougal has been left alone previously and coped well, but this was in a home with another dog for support. When he was left without a canine companion he struggled, so any time alone will need to be introduced very slowly and built up at his pace.
This pet has a clean bill of health and can be fully insured after rehoming.
Dougal can be selective when it comes to his dog friends. In his previous home he would bark at some dogs when on a walk, but would be friendly with others.
He has lived with female sighthound previously and adored her so, he could potentially live with another female sighthound again, pending on on-site dog mix.
Dougal can live with children aged 11+.
He’s a very affectionate boy who loves nothing more than being with his people, sharing the sofa and soaking up all the snuggles. Dougal can be sensitive to loud noises, so we recommend a home with slightly older children.
Dougal will need a secure, private garden with 5ft+ fencing in his new home.
If you’re looking for the perfect mix of couch potato and playful pal, look no further than Dougal!
This gentle-hearted lurcher is as sweet as they come. Dougal’s absolute favourite thing in the world? Snuggling up on the sofa with his humans. Whether it’s for a quiet cuddle or a cosy snooze, he’s happiest when he’s right by your side, soaking up all the love. But don’t be fooled – this boy has a fun side too! He adores a good zoom around the garden or a secure field, stretching those long legs in a joyful burst of energy.
He’s also a big fan of fetch- and yes, he brings the ball back! Dougal is a gentle soul who would thrive in a calm home where he can enjoy the best of both worlds: fun outdoor play and lazy afternoons curled up indoors. He’ll make a loyal, loving companion and is just waiting for the right person to share his heart (and his favourite spot on the sofa) with.
I'm auditioning a new family, but there are plenty of other dogs in need of a good home. Why not take a look?
