Additional information

Oreo is looking for a home where she can be the only pet and have her new family all to herself. She doesn't feel comfortable around other dogs and does not like meeting them. She can be reactive towards them if they come too close so will need to walk in areas where she can avoid other dogs and feel relaxed. She's also quite keen on chasing anything smaller and furry so wouldn't suit a home with cats or smaller pets.

Family and environment

What kind of family am I looking for?

Oreo is looking for a quiet home with few visitors, as she can be sensitive and is worried by unfamiliar people. She could potentially share her home with calm, gentle teenagers but wouldn't suit having younger visiting children. To help her feel more comfortable she needs careful introductions to strangers and visitors to the home.

Once she gets to know people she is affectionate and will come over for cuddles when she wants them. Her new family should be prepared to allow time to build up a relationship with her

What type of environment would suit me?

Oreo would like to live in a quiet area where interactions with other dogs can be avoided. She travels ok in the car for short journeys so would be happy to be driven to quieter walking areas if this suited her new family.

Oreo would really benefit from a private, 6ft fenced garden so that she can run around and stretch her legs in an environment where she feels relaxed. Plus she loves to sunbathe in the summer.

About Oreo

Oreo is a sweet lady, looking for a quiet home where she can relax and unwind. She's recently started to show a little more interest in playing with toys and is very affectionate once she has a bond with you. Her favourite things in life are food and the company and affection of her people. She's an easy to live with house guest, who enjoys somewhere comfy for a snooze and will get excited to see you in the morning, giving you a lovely greeting.

Oreo is currently living in a foster home whilst she waits for her new home. Her fosterer has this to say about her: Oreo is a great dog, she is so calm and relaxed in the house. She's happy to settle calmly on the sofa whilst we're busy but also loves getting cuddles. She loves exploring new places and sniffing things and has lots of energy on walks. She's got such a great personality and is always making us laugh with her funny sleeping positions or when she grumbles because she hasn't got her favourite spot on the sofa or you're not giving her enough of a cuddle. She's very polite and very clever!

Things to note

Due to her sensitive nature, Oreo is likely to need to meet her new family multiple times to build a bond with them before going home.
