Support and Health

How much training will I need?

Needs ongoing support

Can I be left alone?

Potentially, once settled

Rusty was left for 2-3 hours in his crate, with a bed, comfortably in the home. He could do this again after an initial settling in period has been established.

Do I have any medical conditions?

None

Who I can live with

Can I live with dogs?

Yes

Can I live with cats?

Yes, conditionally - Given appropriate introductions

Can I live with small pets?

Yes, conditionally - Securely housed

Additional information

Rusty is more sociable around people when he is with his doggy buddies and as such Rusty will need to be rehomed with another dog, one that is confident, social and robust who can teach him that life and people aren’t so scary as he once thought!

With the appropriate introduction and giving the cat space to have to themselves/using baby gates to separate he could potentially live with a bold, dog savvy cat.

Could potentially live with securely housed small pets that are kept separate from him at all times.

Family and environment

What kind of family am I looking for?

Rusty could live with children aged 13+ as he can be bouncy.

What type of environment would suit me?

We feel a garden will help to burn off some energy and help with his confidence building. He would benefit from doing activities like agility or scent work.
The garden must be relatively secure or set back from any main roads.

About Rusty

Rusty is a young cockerpoo, though don’t let the breed label fool you – his cocker spaniel genes definitely take the lead when it comes to looks and personality! With his cheeky charm and goofy energy, Rusty is your classic teenage boy: full of fun, always ready for adventure, and never without a wag in his tail.

He can be a little wary of new people, especially men, but he’s making great strides in confidence thanks to the support of his trusty doggy pals. Socialising with a confident canine crew has really helped him blossom, and he’s well on his way to becoming a social butterfly.

Rusty is super active and thrives in a high-energy environment. He loves to keep busy with his furry friends, whether it’s playing, exploring, or learning new tricks. If you’ve got space in your home and heart for one more waggy-tailed wonder, Rustyroo might just be your perfect match!

Could you be the one to give this lovable lad his forever home?
