Support and Health

Do I have any medical conditions?

Existing conditions

Sixpence & Tuppence have historic & current medical concerns, namely Tuppence has mild gingivitis & Sixpence has history of a cat bite abscess & urinary issue & has a mild heart condition, that will require consideration before they are rehomed. Our rehoming team will be able to give you further information if you apply to rehome and you are a successful match. We would also advise that any medical concern, be that historic or ongoing, is discussed with your own vet prior to any book out appointment.

Due to the nature of the medical concern, a vet call with one of our onsite vets will be required before the pet goes home.

Who I can live with

Can I live with dogs?

Yes

Can I live with cats?

No

Can I live with small pets?

Yes

Additional information

They would be best not to live with other cats as they are not too keen on neighbourhood cats.
They have never lived with a dog, but may be fine with a calm cat-friendly dog, given slow introductions and their own safe spaces to escape from it if they want to.
Any small pets will need to be securely housed.

Family and environment

What kind of family am I looking for?

As Tuppence can be quite shy, they would be best with calm and gentle children over 7 years.

What type of environment would suit me?

They will need easy access to the outdoors to come and go as they want to. They are used to a quiet location, so access to a safe back garden away from the road would be best. They may need to learn to use a cat flap if one is provided.

About Sixpence (male) & Tuppence (female)

Tuppence (female) and Sixpence (male) are a brother and sister duo. They are a sweet and gentle pair of cats who love a fuss once bonded to their owners. Sixpence is the more confident of the two, he will roll around for fuss and enjoys a lap. Tuppence is slightly shyer but once she trusts you she also loves a fuss. Both cats enjoy going outdoors, including at night, and Sixpence may bring back the occasional ‘gift’ for his owners as he has been known to hunt. Tuppence relies on her brother and will look out for him and wait for him. They enjoy cuddling up together, especially while settling, but also like their own space so a variety of cosy snoozing spots will be requested in their new home!
