Smokey needs to be the only pet in the home to reduce any stress. He is an avid hunter so is probably best not to live with small pets.
Smokey needs an adult only, quiet and predictable home where there are not too many people coming and going. His perfect owner would be happy to go at his pace, and at the level of contact Smokey is comfortable with. He’s a confident boy who does enjoy human companionship, on his terms. In a quiet home with no other pets he may relax and enjoy more attention.
Smokey needs easy access to the outdoors, preferably via a safe back garden. He’s not a fan of other cats so ideally would suit an area with a low cat population. He is used to 24 hour access to the outdoors via a cat flap.
This handsome boy came to us as he was not coping with his home circumstances, with a lot of people coming and going and other cats in the home he wasn’t keen on . Smokey had begun to show reactive behaviour towards the people in the home, likely as he was starting to feel stressed. He is a beautiful, independent boy who loves going outside and enjoys sunbathing in the sunshine. Smokey likes to rub round his people and be near them, but is not a fan of being over handled and will let you know when he’s had enough or is feeling uncomfortable. He is looking for a quiet, adult only home, where he has a predictable routine and plenty of his own space, where he can relax and let his true personality shine. He would suit an owner who is happy to be fairly hands-off, enjoying the companionship of a confident, independent cat. And who doesn’t mind him bringing home ‘gifts’ as he’s quite the hunter!
Smokey would do best with a cat flap for 24 hour access to the outdoors.
