Pet advice from Woodgreen
From behavioural issues to dietary needs and everything in between, we’ve got yo...
To reduce stress in the home we are recommending she does not live with another cat or a dog. Small pets will need to be securely housed.
Sushi is best suited to an adult only home as she might scratch/bite when worried.
She will need access to the outdoors when ready to explore, preferably via a safe back garden with easy access back indoors if she is worried
Beautiful Sushi came to us as a stray so nothing is known about her history. When she first came in she was very worried when handled. After a few weeks she is starting to show her true affectionate personality, but is still spooked by sudden movements or noises so needs a slow and calm approach while settling. She enjoys human company and will rub round you and enjoy gentle head fuss, she also plays with string toys and balls. We are continuing to take things slowly and at her pace, if you are still and quiet, with gentle movements, she’s happy and relaxed and is a very sweet cat. In the right home she will make a wonderful companion.
She will need to be allowed to settle in her own time, with a hands-off approach to allow her to build trust with people.
I'm auditioning a new family, but there are plenty of other cats in need of a good home. Why not take a look?
