Support and Health

Do I have any medical conditions?

History of

This pet has historic medical concerns, namely a tongue ulceration and a bite wound, that will require consideration before this pet is rehomed. Our rehoming team will be able to give you further information if you apply to rehome this pet and you are a successful match. We would also advise that any medical concern, be that historic or ongoing, is discussed with your own vet prior to any book out appointment.

Who I can live with

Can I live with dogs?

No

Can I live with cats?

No

Can I live with small pets?

No

Additional information

Toulouse is quite territorial so will be best with no other pets, this should also reduce any potential stress levels.
He is also an avid hunter so cannot be homed with small pets.

Family and environment

What kind of family am I looking for?

Adults only as he has bitten in the past. He will benefit from a patient and calm approach in the home. Generally he is very affectionate and loves company, but has occasionally bitten his owners in the past. We are monitoring behaviour here to see what the triggers may be, but so far we have seen very little negative behaviour.

What type of environment would suit me?

He enjoys being outside, and ideally would be best with a cat flap so he can come and go as he pleases. He would do best in an area without too many neighbourhood cats as he has been known to fight in the past.

About Toulouse

Handsome Toulouse came to us as his owners could no longer cope with his behaviour. Toulouse enjoys being near his people and likes to sleep on top of his owner, he also likes to keep his owners company while watching television. While an extremely affectionate and companionable cat, he has previously bitten his owners when something upset him. We are unsure of the triggers and are monitoring his behaviour here. Here at Woodgreen he has shown himself to be an affectionate boy, who likes company and fuss, and he will call to us when he knows we’re around. He also likes to sit on a lap though he doesn’t yet settle for long. With a gentle and calm approach he is relaxing and settling in. Toulouse is quite territorial and would be best with no other pets, and a low population of neighbourhood cats. He is quite the hunter so a new owner is likely to find plenty of ‘gifts’ being brought home.
