Scared and shivering, with a tumour the size of a grapefruit
Norman, an 11-year-old terrier, was relinquished to Woodgreen when his owner couldn’t afford to feed him or cover any veterinary care. With a large lump on the top of his head, poor Norman was in a terrible state and needed help urgently.
The ulcerated lump was so large and heavy that it dominated Norman’s small body. It was also attracting flies.
Safe and loved by his new family
Norman underwent surgery to remove the lump on his head – it weighed a shocking 770 grams. We can only imagine how uncomfortable it must have been for him. Whilst recovering, this older chap got lots of rest, and was given medication to keep him comfortable. Within a few weeks, Norman was feeling much better, and we began the search for his new home. Soon enough, he was off to live his golden years with his new family.
