Scared and shivering, with a tumour the size of a grapefruit
Norman, an 11-year-old terrier, was relinquished to Woodgreen when his owner couldn’t afford to feed him or cover any veterinary care. With a large lump on the top of his head, poor Norman was in a terrible state and needed help urgently.
The ulcerated lump was so large and heavy that it dominated Norman’s small body. It was also attracting flies.
Safe and loved by his new family
Norman underwent his surgery to remove the lump on his head – it weighed a total of 770 grams. We can only imagine how uncomfortable it must have been for him. Whilst recovering, Norman got lots of rest and was given medication to keep him comfortable.
Within a few weeks, he was feeling much better, and our team began the search for his new home. It didn’t take long before we found a match and soon enough, he was off to live his golden years with his loving new family.
