Poor Bump, a 5 month old kitten, was brought to Woodgreen after being involved in a road traffic accident and he was in need of medical treatment and a lot of TLC. Stories like Bump’s are not uncommon. Every day poorly, injured and homeless pets come to Woodgreen desperate for help. By restarting your sponsorship you will help provide warm shelter, food, medical care and lots of love for lots of pets.
Whether you choose to sponsor cats, dogs or small pets like rabbits and guinea pigs, we’ll keep you up-to-date with their journeys every step of the way – right up until they find their forever home!
In return for your generosity, we will send you regular updates on how your sponsored pets’ lives are changing while in our care. You will also receive our supporter magazine three times a year, full of pet stories, news and updates from Woodgreen.
Choose cats for your sponsored pets and enjoy regular updates about their personality and favourite ways to pass the day. When one cat is rehomed, we will let you know and introduce you to your new sponsor cat as they start their journey with us towards their new forever home.
Choose dogs for your sponsored pets and enjoy regular updates and learn about their behaviour and any training undertaken by our team. When one dog is rehomed, we will let you know and introduce you to your new sponsor dog and all their quirky little ways!
Choose small pets to sponsor and you could get double the fun with updates from a pair of rabbits or guinea pigs or ferrets! When your current sponsor pets are rehomed, we will let you know and introduce you to your next sponsor pets. With lots of different small pets in our care, there are sure to be a few surprises along the way!

No, because you sponsor a pen, you’ll help lots of homeless pets, one after the other. As soon as we find one pet a new loving home, another will move into your pen where they’ll receive the loving care they need.
Yes, you can sponsor up to three pets at once: one for dogs, one for cats, and one for small animals, like rabbits and guinea pigs.

Your sponsorship money helps support every pet who comes to us for a second chance at life, right up until the day we find them a new, loving home. Everything from nutritious food and toys, that help to build trust to essential vaccinations and, if required, life-saving surgery.
No. Each pen is supported by several sponsors. We simply couldn’t provide all the food, warmth and expert care that our pets need, without the help of a number of generous sponsors.
No. Because of the vulnerable nature of the pets in our care, we can only allow our trained pet care experts to have access to our pens. However, you will receive regular updates on the health and wellbeing of the pet or pets you sponsor.
You are usually able to adopt a pet under Sponsorship. You would need to register your interest on our find a pet pages, and we would check that your circumstances and needs match that of the pet you’re interested in.
Yes! We’ll email you the wonderful news and introduce the new pet in your pen.
This is one of the best parts of being a sponsor, knowing a pet you’ve cared for has found a new loving home.
