Bloodied with a severe head tilt
Stray cat Miller was brought to Woodgreen after a kind member of the public noticed that he was in trouble. His head was drastically tilted to one side, his right ear was weeping blood, and he had multiple fractured teeth. We estimated Miller’s age at around 8 to 10 years old, and he had clearly suffered in his life on the streets.
Poor Miller was in a lot of pain. This sweet boy had waited so long for someone to help him.
Full of love, despite the pain
Our vets placed Miller under anaesthetic so they could take a closer look without causing him any more pain. Initially, there was so much blood that they couldn’t get a clear view, but they eventually discovered a large growth in his right ear. Miller had to undergo a total ear canal ablation, a major surgery to remove his entire ear canal. For an older cat, any surgery is risky, but it was the only option to ease Miller’s suffering.
It was a complicated surgery and Miller had a long, difficult recovery ahead of him. But as he healed, his friendly personality still shone bright, rolling on his back and asking for attention. Although his head tilt was still present, his recovery went well, and soon, our team could begin searching for his loving new home.
