Mend broken lives
Right now, many poorly pets like Harry need urgent medical treatment and care. We're seeing more and more pets like him abandoned every day.
Cruelly abandoned and freezing in a terrible state
Harry was found on a bitterly cold December day in a heartbreaking condition. His leg was broken, his skin sore and scabby, and he was extremely malnourished and very weak. His fur was all but gone, he was covered in fleas, and his skin was infected in several places from scratching. Judging from his condition, he had probably been on his own for weeks. Harry relied on us to help mend him.
It quickly became clear that, to relieve Harry’s pain, we would need to amputate his broken leg. Thankfully, Harry healed really well and quickly too. Please help us be there when they have no one else.
Watch Harry's transformation
From sad and alone, to a happy new home
Once in our care, Harry was no longer left to fend for himself. He soon started to come out of his shell. From sad and shy, to a lovely and playful pooch. He started to trust people again and grew a close bond with his carers, who loved seeing his personality starting to shine through.
Still, Harry needed a new owner who could offer him all the love he had missed out on. We found him a perfect match. He’s now made himself at home, living by the beach with a kind, retired lady.
