Foster a cat

Fostering a cat or kitten for Woodgreen is one of the most rewarding things you can do as a cat lover.

Being put in the temporary care of a fosterer gives the cat the opportunity to receive the love, care and attention they deserve whilst we find them a new, permanent home.

Plus you’ll make new friends with our Woodgreen team, and the volunteers that are already enjoying the benefits of fostering a cat.

What we're looking for

We are looking for volunteers who can offer temporary foster homes for adult cats, kittens, and pregnant queens expecting litters. Ideally, you’ll be able to offer a spare room for your foster cats or provide whole house access.

Some foster cats may have medical issues, for example cats with FIV. We often need fosterers to care for cats that may need housetraining or have behavioural issues.

Access to 24/7 support

Our team of experts are on hand to help to deliver a programme specifically designed to meet the needs of the cat in your temporary care. You’ll also benefit from 24/7 access to support from the Woodgreen Team.
