The Dog House: Changing lives with the perfect match

We’re super proud to be the home of Channel 4’s The Dog House – showing audiences around the world how we bring pets and people together. In this much-loved series, viewers are taken on an emotional journey with our four-legged friends as we search for their perfect match.

It’s fair to say we’ve come a long way since 1924 when we were founded. From rescuing cats and dogs on the streets of London to helping thousands of pets every year from our centre in Cambridgeshire, we’ve grown in both size and ambition. And thanks to The Dog House, more and more people are becoming aware of Woodgreen.

While rehoming pets, as seen on The Dog House, continues to be a big part of our work, we help pets and people in many other ways – find out how below.

Behind the scenes

While the cameras roll, our dedicated teams continue to provide the specialist care (and fuss) that every dog, cat and small pet needs at Woodgreen. What you see on The Dog House is only a snapshot of the incredible work that goes on day-in, day-out. Learn more about how we help pets and their people.

Proudly showcasing our teams’ amazing work

It’s not every day that a golden opportunity comes along to showcase our work on national TV to audiences of millions. We’re as excited and proud as we were when the first episode aired in 2019, and we can’t wait for more people to see our passionate teams in action!
