About Woodgreen Pets Charity
Every year, our teams work tirelessly to provide safe shelter, specialist care, and a brighter future for thousands of pets. And we’re here for owners in need of advice and support too, every step of the way.
We’re dedicated to helping pet owners at every step of the pet ownership journey. Everything we do is about keeping pets and their people together. At its heart, our work is about stopping a pet from ever becoming homeless. And that means preventing and spotting the signs of issues that put them at risk of being abandoned or given up.

How we help
Our teams create an individual plan for every pet – from medical treatment to behaviour training. And when the pet is ready, we find them a loving home where they can live a happy, fulfilling life.

Stray Spaniel tied up with rope
Cocker Spaniel Belle came to Woodgreen in a sorry state. The three-year-old stray was discovered tied up with a rope and was taken straight to the vets.

Nine-week-old abandoned kittens, Tiger and Cece, were discovered alone by the side of the same road just one week apart.

Hand rearing tiny Chihuahua puppies
Daisy, Ivy, Violet, Rupert and Bertie were just two days old when they arrived at Woodgreen. So, we got straight to work to ensure they had the best possible start in life!
