Ever feel like your dog is trying to tell you something?
Consider us your pet-to-human dictionary. Ask us anything!
Alfie has current medical concerns, namely mild gingivitis and FLUTD (Feline lower urinary tract disease), that will require consideration before they are rehomed. Our rehoming team will be able to give you further information if you apply to rehome and you are a successful match. We would also advise that any medical concern, be that historic or ongoing, is discussed with your own vet prior to any book out appointment.
Alfie would be best as the only cat in the home. He might be okay with a calm, cat-friendly dog as long as he has his own space to escape to, and the dog leaves him alone. Small pets must be securely housed given Alfie’s hunting history.
As he can be shy and easily spooked, he would be best with calm and gentle children aged 7 and over.
He will need access to the outdoors, preferably via a safe back garden away from the road. Alfie enjoys his outdoors time. He is used to a cat flap.
Alfie came in due to no fault of his own. Alfie loves attention and fuss once he knows you. His other favourite thing is being outside and he’s a bit of a hunter so may bring home some ‘gifts’! He can be shy to start with and likes safe hiding spots, but once he knows you he is very sweet and affectionate.
He will need safe hiding places and a patient approach while he settles, once he trusts you he will choose to come out for a fuss.
