As with all small pets, we will need to be housed securely away from any other pets in the home.
Rabbits do enjoy the companionship of humans and can become very affectionate and enjoy taking tasty fresh forage from your hands. Rabbits do not enjoy being handled and they can find loud noises and sudden movement scary, so they are often suited to families with slightly older children.
Rabbits need lots of space to keep them fit, healthy and happy, the ideal outdoor accommodation for a pair should consist of either a shed/wendy house or a 1.8m (6ft) single level hutch, attached to a 3m long by 2m wide by 1m high run.
Discover the perfect care tips for rabbits in our rabbit care guide.
Benji is a sweet and independent girl. She has grown in confidence in her time at Woodgreen and is always intrigued by what you are doing, even if she is happier to observe from a distance. She is active and loves lots of space and enrichment to explore. She needs an secure outdoor home with lots to keep her busy. Her favourite things to do are digging in her dig tray, shredding lots of newspaper and doing zoomies around her unit. If you have a single male rabbit looking for a companion and are interested in giving Benji a home, please contact us via the website.
