When it comes to pets, we've all got questions
Ever feel like your pet is from another planet?
Comet has historic medical concerns, namely a wound to his leg, Gastritis and inflammation in his right eye, that will require consideration before he is is rehomed. Our rehoming team will be able to give you further information if you apply to rehome this pet and you are a successful match. We would also advise that any medical concern, be that historic or ongoing, is discussed with your own vet prior to any book out appointment.
Due to the nature of the medical concern, a vet call with one of our onsite vets will be required before the pet goes home.
Would be best as the only pet in the home due to his nervousness. May be ok to live with securely housed small pets.
Comet would prefer to live with an adult only family. He may sometimes hiss and swipe if he’s feeling unsure so he wants a family who will be patient and listen to his body language. His family must take a hands-off approach and allow Comet to initiate any interaction until he has settled in his new home.
Having lived as a stray, Comet has been used to spending time outdoors and is likely to have road sense as a result. He will need outside access in his new home once settled.
Meet Comet! Comet was found as a stray, scared and anxious. At first he was quite conflicted, he enjoyed a fuss and would rub around you, but could also get spooked/overwhelmed and hiss and swipe. He will need understanding owners who will give him the time and space that he needs to adjust and learn to trust his people. Comet has been in a foster home for a few months, he took a while to settle, but as his confidence has grown, he has started to seek out attention. He now loves sitting on his fosterer’s lap and will follow her around the house. He is also very playful and enjoys playing with a string toy.
Comet been placed in a foster home due to his nervous disposition and will be allocated a temporary unit at the centre on the day of book-out. Unfamiliar environments can be particularly stressful for nervous cats, therefore in order to safeguard its welfare and to promote positive interactions between you and your pet, it will not be possible to meet this cat prior to rehoming. Videos and photographs will be available to give you the opportunity to view the cat’s behaviour in a familiar setting and help you make a decision.
Ready to get started? We always start with our pets’ individual needs, which is why we need to find out a bit more about you first.
