Honey

Needs extensive support
  • Toy Poodle Cross
  • Size: Small
  • 2 years 10 months
  • Female
  • Admitted June 2025
  • Ref: 122475

Honey may look like butter wouldn’t melt, but she’s a smart, spirited girl with a bit of sass. She can be overly protective of her toys and the people she knows, and she’s sensitive about being handled, especially by new people so she’ll need time, patience, and a gentle approach to help her feel comfortable. Honey will be a bit of a project, but she’s full of potential. She loves learning, excels at agility, and really shines when given things to do that engage her brain. She’s best suited to an experienced home that can offer consistency, guidance, and the chance she truly deserves.

Can I be left alone?

Potentially, once settled

Honey came into us a stray so we don’t know if she’s been left home alone before. Any home alone training will need to be started once she’s settled in and she should be able to do a few hours.

Do I have any medical conditions?

None

Honey has a clean bill of health and can be fully insured after rehoming.

Who I can live with

Can I live with dogs?

No

Can I live with cats?

No

Can I live with small pets?

Yes, conditionally - Securely housed small pets that are kept separately

Additional information

Honey appears to be under-socialised around other dogs and can be unsure when meeting them. She can have a quick sniff and then prefers to go off and do her own thing.

She prefers smaller dogs and could potentially have some calm walking buddies.

Family and environment

What kind of family am I looking for?

Honey is looking for an adult only home with no young visiting children.

She is a worried girl around people that she doesn’t know and will take time to build a relationship. She is looking for a patient, understanding family who can take things at Honey’s pace to help her build some confidence.

What type of environment would suit me?

Honey will need a secure, private garden in her new home so she has a safe space when she’s feeling worried of the outside world.

Honey would like to live and walk in a quiet areas so she can enjoy her walks.
