Support and Health

How much training will I need?

Needs ongoing support

Can I be left alone?

Potentially, once settled

As with all stray lurchers, Physlis will need home alone training to be built up gradually. We would recommend leaving her with enrichment, giving her the opportunity to toilet beforehand and popping the radio or TV on for company.

Do I have any medical conditions?

Existing conditions

Phylis has current medical conditions, namely having her left front leg removed due to a fracture, that will require consideration before this pet is rehomed.

Our rehoming team will be able to give you further information if you apply to rehome him/her and you are a successful match.

We would also advise that any medical conditions, be that historic or ongoing, are discussed with your own vet prior to taking them home.

Who I can live with

Can I live with dogs?

No

Can I live with cats?

No

Can I live with small pets?

No

Additional information

Whilst Phylis would prefer to be the only dog in the home, she enjoys walks with similar calm dogs.

Phylis is a little shy but very polite around other dogs. She is happy to sniff other dogs but gets a bit worried when they are playful.

Family and environment

What kind of family am I looking for?

Phylis can live with children aged 8+ as she came to us as a stray and we have no history of her behaviour around children.

What type of environment would suit me?

Phylis would need her own secure and private garden. As she’s an amputee, it would be best for her to have her own garden for days where walks may be a bit too much.

About Phylis

Meet Phylis, a beautiful Lurcher with a unique tiger-striped coat and a heart as big as her personality. This sweet tripod may have three legs, but it doesn’t slow her down – especially when there are treats or cuddles involved! Phylis adores people and is always ready to share her gentle, affectionate nature. She’s looking for a loving home where she can enjoy plenty of love, snacks, and a comfy spot to relax.

Goofy, elegant and strong contenders for the best snoozers, there are many sides to the lovely Lurcher! Learn more about the breed at Ask Woodgreen.
