Support and Health

How much training will I need?

Needs some support

Can I be left alone?

Yes

He can be left at home on his own for a few hours per day once settled into his new home.

He is housetrained.

Do I have any medical conditions?

Existing conditions

Rip has existing medical conditions.

He’s currently on ear treatment, his hind legs seem a little stiff, but nothing detected on x-ray, and he’s on a strict diet that will require consideration before he’s rehomed.

Our rehoming team will be able to give you further information if you apply to rehome him and you are a successful match.

We would also advise that any medical conditions, be that historic or ongoing, are discussed with your own vet prior to taking them home.

Due to the nature of the medical condition, a vet call with one of our onsite vets will be required before he goes home.

Who I can live with

Can I live with dogs?

No

Can I live with cats?

No

Can I live with small pets?

Yes, conditionally - He can potentially live with securely housed small animals

Additional information

Rip could play with dogs out and about and go on walks with dog friends but would have to be the only dog in the home for now as he’s over the top and is yet to learn his manners.

Family and environment

What kind of family am I looking for?

He can live with children aged 8 years and over.

Rip is strong on the lead and will need further loose lead walking training, and can be a little over the top at times.

What type of environment would suit me?

Rip is looking for a home with a private, secure garden so he can run around and get rid of some of his excess energy.

The fencing height will need to be 5ft as a minimum; he can jump anything lower.

About Rip

Say hello to Rip- a handsome, silver-coated Lab with a heart as big as his paws!

At nearly two years old, Rip is the perfect mix of youthful energy and sweet affection.

He’s a social butterfly who thrives around his people and is always ready to make new friends.

Rip is happiest when he’s part of the action, whether that means joining you on your daily jobs, splashing around in the water (his favourite!), or diving headfirst into a pile of toys.

He’s an adventure-seeker at heart but calms down beautifully with a cosy cuddle on the couch at the end of the day.

This enthusiastic boy is also a major foodie- treats are a fast track to his heart and a great motivator for training.

Rip’s joyful spirit and goofy charm are impossible to resist, and he’s sure to bring endless laughter and love to the lucky family who rehomes him.

Fallen in love?

I'm auditioning a new family, but there are plenty of other dogs in need of a good home. Why not take a look?
