Love The Dog House? Fancy taking part?
If you’re looking for a rescue dog, the production team would love to chat!
Thunder has had historic medical concerns, namely gingivitis with stomatitis (which has resolved after a dental) and conjunctivitis, that will require consideration before she is rehomed. Our rehoming team will be able to give you further information if you apply to rehome this pet and you are a successful match. We would also advise that any medical concern, be that historic or ongoing, is discussed with your own vet prior to any book out appointment.
Thunder would prefer to live in a home without another cat or dog as she finds living with other animals quite stressful. She can live with securely-housed small animals.
Thunder is looking for an adult only home with people who will be understanding and patient with her and give her the time she needs to adapt to her new environment.
Thunder is looking for a calm and quiet home with a fairly predictable routine. She will need access to a room with lots of hiding places whilst she settles, then gradually giving her more access to the home as her confidence grows. Thunder will need access to the outdoors once she is settled in the home. She is looking for a home away from busy roads and with a private garden where she can explore and sunbathe. She will need places around the garden where she can hide should anything spook her whilst she is out.
Thunder is a shy lady who would like a quiet and patient home where she can feel safe and secure, with plenty of places to hide if she wishes to. She can take quite a while to settle, but when she does she enjoys a gentle fuss as well as a treat or two but is quite an independent lady who likes to do her own thing. She loves to sunbathe when the weather allows and can be playful at times.
Thunder has been placed in a foster home due to her nervous disposition and will be allocated a temporary unit at the centre on the day of book-out. Unfamiliar environments can be particularly stressful for nervous cats, therefore in order to safeguard her welfare and to promote positive interactions between you and your pet, it will not be possible to meet this cat prior to rehoming. Videos and photographs will be available to give you the opportunity to view the cat’s behaviour in a familiar setting and help you make a decision.’
