There can be other pets in the home, but the rat enclosure will need to be in a room that can be shut off from any cats or dogs.
Rats make excellent pets for all the family; they are inquisitive and affectionate and love to come out and play.
Rats need to be housed in a large cage filled with suitable enrichment to keep them interested and active. The ideal size cage for 3-4 rats is: 80cm deep by 50cm wide by 80cm high.

Zoe and Coco are looking for an experienced home with other female/neutered male rat friends. Both Zoe and Coco are very sweet girls but need someone who is able to help build their confidence for handling and socialisation. Zoe is learning to be more confident and is making great progress. She will often come over the front of the cage to see what you are doing and this is helping Coco become more confident also. Their favourite thing is having lots of enrichment to explore, hide in and climb. If you can offer these girls a home with some more rat friends, please do get in touch via the website.
