Additional information

Badger would like some calm, sociable walking buddies to help build his confidence but he is currently looking to be the only pet in the home.

Family and environment

What kind of family am I looking for?

Badger is a sensitive soul and due to his nervousness, would be best with sensible, older children aged 11 years+ who will respect his boundaries.

What type of environment would suit me?

Due to Badger’s worries on his walks, he would benefit from having a secure, private garden to be able to zoom, play and relax in.

About Badger

Badger might start off a little shy and uncertain of the world around him but he’s a gentle soul with so much love to give. He’s made amazing strides in his time with us, and he’s gradually starting to trust and bond with his regular handlers. In fact, Badger is beginning to show his playful side and we’ve even seen him wriggling with excitement in a playful bow and zooming around the garden!

One of his favourite things to do is play with toys, especially tennis balls. There’s nothing he loves more than a good game of fetch but he’s also happy to entertain himself by tossing his tennis ball around and batting it with his paws-pure joy to watch!

While he’s still working on his fear of the outside world, we’ve been keeping his walks short to help him build trust and comfort. With time, we’re confident that Badger will continue to blossom into the playful, affectionate companion we know he can be.

He’s a wonderful dog who will thrive in a home where his adopters are willing to give him the time and space he needs to feel secure. In return, he’ll shower you with affection; he’s already started resting his head on his handler’s lap, a clear sign of the love he’s ready to give when he feels safe.

Goofy, elegant and strong contenders for the best snoozers, there are many sides to the lovely Lurcher! Learn more about the breed at Ask Woodgreen.
