Support and Health

How much training will I need?

Needs some support

Can I be left alone?

Yes

She has previously been left for around 7 hours. However, we would recommend that her home alone time should be built up slowly after a settling period in her new environment.

Do I have any medical conditions?

Existing conditions

Cassie has a current medical condition, namely a ear infection (currently under treatment), that will require consideration before this pet is rehomed.

Our rehoming team will be able to give you further information if you apply to rehome her and you are a successful match.

We would also advise that any medical conditions, be that historic or ongoing, are discussed with your own vet prior to taking them home.

Due to the nature of the medical condition, a vet call with one of our onsite vets will be required before the pet goes home.

Who I can live with

Can I live with dogs?

No

Can I live with cats?

No

Can I live with small pets?

Yes, conditionally - Potentially suitable to live with securely housed small pets

Additional information

Cassie much prefers the company of her humans and would rather be the only pet in the home – this way she gets all of the attention too!

Cassie is generally avoidant of other dogs and will chosen not to interact with any dog if she can.  She may have the potential to walk with smaller, calm dogs who are polite in their interactions in the future however, this will need to be done at her pace as she is worried by other dogs that she sees.

Family and environment

What kind of family am I looking for?

Cassie has the potential to live with children 11 years and above.

She can find unfamiliar people worrying, she will bark and back away. Once you are in Cassie club, she adores her people and has plenty of love to share. She tends to greet her people with a VERY wiggly body and an excited cry!

What type of environment would suit me?

Cassie can be a worried girl so, she will need her new home to have its own secure private garden.

Cassie loves spending time in a garden, whether that be zooming around or playing with her toys! She can also be found sunbathing on a summers day!

About Cassie

Cassie is the most beautiful little girl, with her long silky ears, soft coat, and those irresistible puppy eyes that will melt your heart.

She’s a young Dachshund with a huge personality packed into her tiny frame! Cassie absolutely adores her humans and loves nothing more than being close to them, soaking up cuddles, and showering them with affection. She greets her favourite people with pure joy, a wiggly little body, and plenty of tail wags!

When it’s time to relax, Cassie is a world-class snuggler and would happily spend her evenings curled up beside you on the sofa. She’s also a chatty girl who loves to “talk” to her humans, sharing her excitement and opinions in her own adorable way.

She can be a bit reactive when out and about, so she’ll need patient owners who can give her reassurance and help her build confidence on walks. With the right guidance, she’ll continue to flourish. This playful little lady loves her toys, enjoys a good zoom around the garden, and would be thrilled to have a big toy box all to herself! Cassie may be small, but her heart and personality are enormous.

She’s ready to find her forever home- one filled with love, playtime, and plenty of cuddles.

Dachshunds are little bundles of energy. They’re fun, lovable and incredibly loyal. Learn more about the breed at Ask Woodgreen.
