Cassowary can live with any other pets with careful introductions and enough space/resources for everyone. He may benefit from living with a calm confident cat to help guide him toward feeling more secure. Small pets should be securely housed.
Family and environment
What kind of family am I looking for?
Cassowary is quite nervous around people and may hiss or swipe when approached. He is looking for a quiet home where he will be given the time and space he needs to build confidence at his own pace. He could live with calm children aged 13+
What type of environment would suit me?
Cassowary will need inside and outside access with gradual introductions to outside once old enough and settled into their new home. Where possible these introductions should be through a garden and not directly onto a road.
About Cassowary
Meet Cassowary, a handsome boy who is still discovering the joys of human companionship. Since he arrived with no prior socialization, Cassowary is currently quite cautious and nervous around people, preferring to hide. Though he has demonstrated his sweet side by purring and enjoying gentle strokes on his fosterer’s lap, he will need a slow and patient approach to allow him to fully settle and feel safe in his new home. Cassowary is looking for a family that will respect his nature, as he may always remain a timid cat and may prefer to keep to himself even once fully settled.
Things to note
Cassowary will be ready to be rehomed on 10th December.
