Pet advice from Woodgreen
From behavioural issues to dietary needs, we’ve got you covered.
As he was a stray we do not know if Eddie has been left home alone before. Any home alone time should be built up gradually from scratch, at a pace Eddie is comfortable with.
This pet has a clean bill of health and can be fully insured after rehoming.
Eddie really enjoys meeting other dogs, he is playful and social. Although, he does not have great socialisation skills and can be can be quite intense and over excited.
He could have some walking buddies, if the other dogs would not be worried by his over the top greetings and perhaps able show Eddie some calmer walking behaviours.
Eddie could live with children age 11+
He can be worried of being handled by new people so we would recommend older children who will understand when to give him space.
As Eddie can be a nervous boy, he will require his new home to have a garden so that he can have a safe space to sniff and explore in.
This garden would need to be fully enclosed and fenced off (5ft+) preferably not a shared garden.
Eddie might start off a little shy, but once he decides you’re a friend, he’ll greet you like you’re the best part of his day.
The world can feel a bit big and spooky to him sometimes, so he’s looking for a patient human who can show him just how wonderful it can be. Eddie’s secret weakness? Snacks. Offer him a tasty treat and you’ll have his heart in no time.
