Pet advice from Woodgreen
From behavioural issues to dietary needs, we’ve got you covered.
As with all small pets, we will need to be housed securely away from any other pets in the home.
Guinea pigs can make lovely pets for all the family, they are loveable and charming little animals.
Guinea pigs can live indoors or outside; they enjoy having plenty of time on the grass grazing during good weather days. The ideal accommodation for a pair should consist of a 5ft by 2ft (152cm by 61cm) hutch or indoor cage and a 6ft long by 4ft wide by 18 inches high (183cm by 122 cm) wooden framed run with a removable/hinged lid for the grass.

Ellie and Kirby are sisters looking for a new home together. They have a firm sisterly bond so where you find one, it is likely you’ll find the other one cuddled up right next to her. They have been fairly nervous with us so far, although Kirby is slightly more confident and seems to enjoy being on a lap. With time and patience we believe they could settle nicely into a new home and come out of their shells. Both can be convinced to come out of hiding with a little bit of mint.
Ready to get started? We always start with our pets’ individual needs, which is why we need to find out a bit more about you first.
