Support and Health

Do I have any medical conditions?

History of

Felix has historic medical concerns, namely oral ulceration, that will require consideration before this pet is rehomed. He also has arthritis but is not currently showing signs of mobility issues. Our rehoming team will be able to give you further information if you apply to rehome this pet and you are a successful match. We would also advise that any medical concern, be that historic or ongoing, is discussed with your own vet prior to any book out appointment.

Who I can live with

Can I live with dogs?

Yes

Can I live with cats?

No

Can I live with small pets?

Yes

Additional information

Felix would prefer to be the only cat in the home. He could live with a calm cat-friendly dog who would give him space to keep to himself. Small pets should be securely housed.

Family and environment

What kind of family am I looking for?

A loving household with children 7yrs+. He is said to be good with children but can get startled by them sometimes so will need children old enough to give him his space when needed

What type of environment would suit me?

Will need outdoor access once settled

About Felix

Meet Felix! This handsome man was found as a stray but quickly found his paws at Woodgreen and showed us all how much of a friendly boy he is. His favourite things are purring and eating but also being close to his favourite humans. Felix loves a fuss but once he’s had enough he is happy to curl up and just enjoy your company. He absolutely loves food time (easily his favourite time of day) but it really is closely followed by meeting new people and making friends. As soon as he see’s someone he will get up from his nap and start making biscuits with his paws to show you his excitement.

Things to note

Felix is currently living in a foster home and will be allocated a temporary unit at the centre on the day of book-out. Most cats find unfamiliar environments quite stressful and this can affect their behaviour in the cattery, meaning that you might not be able to observe what the cat’s temperament is typically like in a familiar setting. If you would like to meet this cat prior to rehoming, as a minimum you will be able to see the cat, but this may be the extent of the interaction depending on the cat’s response to the new environment.
