How much training will I need?
Can I be left alone?
Being a stray we don’t know how long she can be left for, we would suggest this is built up gradually once settled but she should be able to do a few hours.
Do I have any medical conditions?
Florence has a current medical condition, namely allergic skin condition, which is currently under review, that will require consideration before this pet is rehomed.
Our rehoming team will be able to give you further information if you apply to rehome him/her and you are a successful match.
We would also advise that any medical conditions, be that historic or ongoing, are discussed with your own vet prior to taking them home.
Due to the nature of the medical condition, a vet call with one of our onsite vets will be required before the pet goes home.

Additional information
Florence is a social girl with other dogs, some she will play with, others she will say a quick hello to before following her nose. She can go on walks with other dogs and have dogs visit her in the garden, as long it’s not BBQ season!
Family and environment
What kind of family am I looking for?
Florence can live with teenagers aged 13+ due to her focus on food.
She’s a sweet, affectionate girl but has an independent side as she’s so busy using her nose. She really enjoys training and is such a rewarding girl to work with.
What type of environment would suit me?
Florence will need a secure, private garden for training and to keep her brain busy. It can also be a nice space for her to roam off lead.

Florence is a classic Beagle through and through -clever, curious and completely driven by her nose. She’s looking for a training-minded home that’s ready to put in some work – particularly around her biggest challenge: food stealing. Florence is highly food motivated and will help herself to anything within reach, so she’ll need a home that can manage that with consistency and structure. Florence is very smart and is already learning scent work, which gives her brain a positive outlet and plays to her natural strengths. If you understand Beagles and enjoy the process of building a bond with an independent spirit, Florence could be the perfect match!
