As with all small pets, we will need to be housed securely away from any other pets in the home.

Family and environment

What kind of family am I looking for?

Mice can make lovely first-time pets for children who can offer a calm, patient and confident approach. They enjoy coming out to be handled and will take treats from your hands.

What type of environment would suit me?

For a group of 4 mice, they would need a cage/tank of at least 80cm (l) x 50cm (w) x 35cm (h), with bar spacing being of 7-9mm. This will provide them with space for you to add lots of activities for them to climb and explore, as well as giving them enough floor space to do lots of running around on and bedding that they can dig and forage in. Although they are small, they are very busy and energetic.

About Mince Pie, Yule Log, Figgy Pudding and Gingerbread

Have you ever seen such big ears on a mouse than Mince Pies!! This stunning group are the Christmas food group! They absolutely live up to their names, because they are just so delicious to look at. The girls have very recently been introduced to Mince Pie and it couldn’t have gone any smoother, they are the very best of friends. You will find the four of them snuggled under the same hide, or relaxing in a hammock together. Figgy Pudding is the most confident and relaxed with handling, along with Gingerbread falling not too short of Figgys relaxed personality. Yule log is just a fast little buzz who just loves to run and explore!! Mince Pie is a mixture of the two, he enjoys to watch and will come over to inspect your hands while cleaning but has a very quick run on him when he wants to.
