Could you open your home to foster cats and kittens?
Fostering gives pregnant mums and their kittens the best possible start in life.
Hamsters are solitary creatures and should live alone.
As with all small pets, Legolas will need to be housed securely away from any other pets in the home.
Hamsters spend most of the day time hiding away and sleeping. They are most active during the evening and overnight.
Dwarf hamsters need a cage or a tank measuring 100cm wide, by 50cm deep, by 40cm high. If you have a cage the bar spacing should be no more than 7mm.
All hamsters need a minimum of 6 inches of substrate around most of their enclosure, with a deeper digging space of at least 10-12inches (25-30cms) to enable them to create burrows and nests.
Meet Muffin! This little dude loves to have lots of space to explore and a cozy bed to snuggle in too. He likes to be kept busy, making lots of burrows, searching for food scattered around and discovering the latest new toy added in his set up. He particularly loves spending time running on his wheel too! Muffin is good at being handled provided he can wake up in his own time and is scooped up gently in either your hands or encouraged to go into a tunnel. When fully awake and out, he can soon get excited and very speedy exploring his surroundings so watch out! If you are interested in little Muffin, please do get in touch via the website.
