Could you open your home to foster cats and kittens?
Fostering gives pregnant mums and their kittens the best possible start in life.
There can be other pets in the home, but the rat enclosure will need to be in a room that can be shut off from any cats or dogs.
Rats make excellent pets for all the family; they are inquisitive and affectionate and love to come out and play.
Rats need to be housed in a large cage filled with suitable enrichment to keep them interested and active. The ideal size cage for 3-4 rats is: 80cm deep by 50cm wide by 80cm high.

These girlies are looking for their new home in groups of 3 or more.
This is a stunning little group who are just full of mischief! They’re curious, social and are ready to play at any time of the day. They’ve been well-handled and love human interaction. When they first arrived to us at Woodgreen, they were a little cautious with being picked up, but with time they are proving to excel expectations and are all ready using you as their escape route.
Being young, they’re at the perfect stage to create a strong bond with their humans. If you can offer some (or all!) of these girls a home, please do get in touch with us via the website.
Ready to get started? We always start with our pets’ individual needs, which is why we need to find out a bit more about you first.
