At Woodgreen, we love celebrating happy endings, especially for our long-term residents. So you can imagine how excited we were to find Smudge, our previous sponsorship pet, a forever home.

Woodgreen is here to help creatures big and small. Squirrel the degu came to us needing a new home and a new friend to live with, but not everything would go to plan.

Whatever the reason for someone needing to give up their pet, we’re here to help. Female bunny River and her male companion Bandit came to Woodgreen after their owner fled a domestic violence situation.

Our team responded to a call for help from a gentleman who was struggling to cope with a large number of cats. He had four to begin with but they bred during lockdown – and the numbers soon spiraled out of control.

Leggy greyhound Pancake was brought to us by another rehoming charity in March 2020. She was a happy, healthy dog and just needed someone to give her a loving new home. But first, she needed some specialist care.

Katie the Lurcher was found abandoned, injured and all alone. Her recovery would be challenging, but we were on hand to help!

Beautiful Bailey's visit to our free Wag the Weight Off clinic did the world of good.

Gorgeous Gary arrived at Woodgreen on Christmas Eve 2019. He was a stray, found freezing all by himself.
