Currently dogs spend an average of 68 days in our care and cost around £40 a day.

£

£40 could pay for an additional day’s care for a dog like Kimmie.

£

£5 a month could pay for a pet's essential first vaccinations before they're rehomed.

Poor Kimmie suffered with extreme confidence issues after coming to Woodgreen from another dog rescue centre. She was homeless and terrified of everything.

The best thing for her was being around other dogs, which built up her confidence. She had no behavioural issues, she was just scared.

Socialising her with outgoing dogs really helped her. She really grew in confidence, and began to build relationships with people and dogs by the time she was adopted.

You can help dogs like Kimmie

As living costs continue to rise, we’re expecting to see more dogs like Kimmie come to Woodgreen. With more and more people giving up their pets due to financial difficulties, and some dogs like Kimmie being sadly abandoned, our team is busier than ever.

We know that not everyone can afford to give, but if you can, homeless pets like Kimmie really do need your support now more than ever. You can help us to support pet owners so that dogs like Kimmie aren’t abandoned and cold this winter.

"The difference between when she came in and when she got to know you was huge, she really wanted a fuss and she really just needed to be loved"
