Woodgreen Pets Charity is thrilled to announce the opening of its new charity shop in Woodbridge. The new store will offer a wide variety of items, including stunning homewares, fashion and holiday wear, accessories, children’s toys, and many new items. Whether you’re searching for a special treat for yourself or a gift for someone else, the Woodbridge shop is sure to have something to brighten up your day.

As a charity dedicated to helping pets and their people, Woodgreen aims to ensure every pet has a loving and caring home. They offer a range of vital services, including expert advice, hands-on support, and a safe haven for vulnerable pets in need. Last year, Woodgreen opened its doors to more than 2,200 pets, with nearly 300 of these being strays, with nowhere else to turn. The charity also supported almost 5,000 pets in their homes by working hard to prevent and resolve issues where possible, keeping pets with loving owners.

Head of Retail at Woodgreen, Jake Hornsbury, said: “We’re thrilled to announce the opening of our new Woodgreen charity shop in Woodbridge, which comes at a crucial time as we are currently facing increased demand due to the cost-of-living crisis. The shop will help us meet this demand by providing a new source of income to support our vital work.”

“Additionally, the shop will offer the local community with sustainable and affordable options on their high street, helping to make a positive impact in the area. We are grateful for the public’s generosity through donations, volunteering hours, and financial support. We believe that everyone can make a difference, and we’re excited to welcome you to our new shop.”

The opening of the new charity shop is not just a shopping opportunity, but also a way to support the charity’s continuous efforts in helping pets and owners in need. Funds raised from selling these pre-loved items will help Woodgreen continue its essential work to help pets and people in need. The charity takes in and provides emergency treatment and care to thousands of dogs, cats, and small animals every year at its centre in Cambridgeshire.

Woodgreen has 23 charity shops across East Anglia and the East Midlands and is currently offering a range of volunteering roles. Volunteering provides an opportunity for individuals to learn new skills, gain valuable experience, and strengthen their CVs, all while making a meaningful difference in the lives of pets in need.

The opening of the new shop in Woodbridge is an exciting step forward in Woodgreen’s mission to improve the lives of pets and pet owners in need. With a wide range of items available for purchase and opportunities to get involved through volunteering, the new shop is sure to become an important asset to the community.
