Could you star in The Dog House?
If you're looking for a match, filming for the next series starts this Spring.
Eight-week-old Staffie Finnegan arrived with mange, a horrible and highly contagious skin disease called mites, and a painful infection that had almost sealed his eyes shut.
Despite being in so much pain and discomfort, Finnegan’s tail never stopped wagging. He was just like any other young puppy – full of beans and ready to explore the world!
Unfortunately, due to his contagious condition, he had to be isolated while he healed. But his Woodgreen carers were there to play with him and keep him company.
Once he was no longer a danger to our other canine residents, Finnegan’s carers started to carry him around so he could take in the sights, sounds and smells of the world.
As he continued to get better – and bigger! – he was moved into a foster home with another dog. This would help with his socialisation, as well as teaching him the rules of polite canine etiquette he had missed out on while isolated.
When his skin was healed and after some final checks with our veterinary team, Finnegan was officially back on his paws, and ready for a new home.
By the time he found his perfect match, he was three times the size he was when he first arrived at Woodgreen!
Thanks to Woodgreen and all our supporters, Finnegan’s story has a happy ending – a warm, loving home to grow up in and a family to love him.
“Finnegan is settling in well. We thought he had unlimited energy until he went on his first long nature walk and crashed and fell asleep for the rest of the evening.”
Daisy, Ivy, Violet, Rupert and Bertie were just two days old when they arrived at Woodgreen. So, we got straight to work to ensure they had the best possible start in life!
Senior stray Elspeth arrived severely underweight, distressed and dealing with painful dental issues.
