Ferrets typically live outside in large enclosures all year round. Good news is, there are lots of things you can do to keep them warm, cosy and safe during the colder winter months.
Ferrets do not like quick changes in temperature because it confuses their internal thermometer. If you’re going to keep your ferrets outside during winter there are plenty of ways to keep them warm instead of bringing them in just at night and putting them out again in the day. This can be in fact, quite dangerous. Only bring them inside if they look poorly and need to see a vet.
If you have a lone ferret at home, consider finding them a ferret companion (or two).
