Alan may be okay to live with another cat with slow and careful introductions.
He has not had good experiences with dogs so would be best suited to a home without one.
Small pets will need to be securely housed.
Alan would thrive best in a family that have children over the age of 13 as he has been worried about younger children in the past.
Alan will need outdoor access in his new home and has previously been used to a quiet area with minimal traffic. This would be best suited to him in his new home and he will need a private back garden to start exploring in.
Alan is a sweet and affectionate boy who just needs a little time to let his true personality shine. In his previous home, he was friendly and loving with adults. While he can be shy and worried at first, with patience and understanding he gradually comes out of his shell and shows just how special he is.
When Alan feels unsure in new surroundings, you’ll find him snuggled up in a cosy hiding spot where he feels safe. Give him time to settle, though, and he’ll reward you with the softest purrs and the sweetest cuddles. Once comfortable, he absolutely enjoys gentle fusses and will happily flop over for more attention.
Alan also enjoys playing with fun toys, and watching his confidence grow as he relaxes into his environment is truly heart-warming. On site, he’s still a little worried, but he’s already showing his lovely nature — purring away and soaking up gentle affection from those he trusts.
