Additional information

As with all small pets, we will need to be housed securely away from any other pets in the home.

All of our single guinea pigs are waiting to be mixed with owned pets. Please only apply for them if you already have a guinea pig who is in search of a new friend.

If you currently do not have any guinea pigs in your care and would like to rehome, please check the pairs/groups we have available.

Family and environment

What kind of family am I looking for?

Guinea Pigs do enjoy the companionship of humans and can become very affectionate and enjoy taking tasty fresh forage from your hands.

What type of environment would suit me?

The ideal accommodation for a pair should consist of a 5ft by 2ft (152cm by 61cm) hutch or indoor cage and a 6ft long by 4ft wide by 18 inches high (183cm by 122 cm) wooden framed run with a removable/hinged lid for the grass in the warmer months.

Luna is currently being housed inside and has settled nicely, she wouldn’t suited to an outdoor set up due to her age and cataracts.

About Luna

Little Luna is looking or her retirement home where she can spend her last few years with a new piggy companion. Luna was timid when she first came to us, but has since settled and now comes over to for her favourite treats, pea flakes. She does have cataracts in both eyes but this hasn’t affected her getting around her pen or interacting with her carers. Luna is looking for an indoor home only where she have a routine and a family who understand she may take some time to settle in.

If you have a neutered male or female guinea pigs who are looking for a new companion, please do get in contact via the website.

Things to note

We do have other single guinea pigs but as the demand for mixing can be high, sometimes these pets are matched with customers already on the waiting list.
