Support and Health

How much training will I need?

Needs ongoing support

Can I be left alone?

Potentially, once settled

As a stray we do not know if Shakira has ever been in a home or left home alone.

On site she’s often seen snoozing in her kennel, tucked up in bed. Any time home alone would need to built up gradually, once she has settled into her new home environment.

Do I have any medical conditions?

History of

Shakira has historic medical conditions, namely ear infection (Resolved) and a wound to the tip of her ear (Healed), that will require consideration before this pet is rehomed. Our rehoming team will be able to give you further information if you apply to rehome them and you are a successful match.

We would also advise that any medical conditions, be that historic or ongoing, are discussed with your own vet prior to taking them home.

Who I can live with

Can I live with dogs?

No

Can I live with cats?

No

Can I live with small pets?

No

Additional information

Shakira would love a home where she can be the only pet, as she can be reactive around other dogs and has a strong chase drive, but with the right management she’s a joy to have by your side.

Family and environment

What kind of family am I looking for?

Could live with children aged 5 years +

Since coming on site as a stray Shakira hasn’t met any children and we don’t know her past, however she is such a sweet girl who loves people. She is very good to handle seems unfazed by people, loud noises or unfamiliar situations.

What type of environment would suit me?

Is it essential that Shakira has access to her own private and secure garden. She loves to stretch her long legs and have zoomies with a toy in her mouth.

About Shakira

Shakira is a happy, confident, and incredibly people-loving lady who adores being out and about with her humans.

A true social butterfly, she thrives on cuddles, tasty snacks, and greeting new human friends wherever she goes — dog-friendly cafés are very high on her wish list! She’s an easy-going girl who enjoys sniffy walks (very Beagle-like at heart), relaxing with her people, and zooming around a secure garden with a toy.

Shakira would love a home where she can be the only pet, as she can be reactive around other dogs and has a strong chase drive, but with the right management she’s a joy to have by your side.

If you’re looking for a sweet-natured, affectionate companion who’s always smiling and ready to join you on life’s adventures (especially if food is involved!), Shakira could be your perfect match
