Meet Britt!

With a whopping ten years of experience in various dog-related roles at Woodgreen, Britt has positively impacted the lives of countless canines. And her passion for all things dogs is as strong as ever!

She started her journey at Woodgreen as a dog carer, before taking on the role of team leader. Britt loved many things about working with our four-legged friends, but what really sparked her interest was dog behaviour and training. So, she set her sights on becoming a behaviourist, and soon landed her dream job.

More about Britt

Britt isn’t just incredibly experienced, she’s got a whole host qualifications, too. She has a canine behaviour management diploma (level 5), an accreditation in scent work handling, and she’s working towards her APBC (Association of Pet Behaviour Counsellors) membership. Not to mention numerous other courses and workshops she’s completed over the years. Always one to keep her ear to the ground, she regularly attends dog training and behaviour sector conferences.

Britt shares her expertise across the charity in many ways. From advice calls, consultations, and supporting the dog team to running dog training classes and making visits to dog owners’ homes. She particularly enjoys helping lively adolescent dogs to channel their energy in more appropriate ways. And that is no mean feat!

“What’s great about my job is that no day is the same. Every dog and human is different and therefore need individualised support. It’s very rewarding to witness the moment where an owner has found a new level of understanding of their dog’s behaviour. It just clicks and they feel empowered enough to manage/train their dog, improving the human-canine bond.”
