Adopt a rescue pet
At Woodgreen, we find the perfect humans for thousands of dogs, cats and other species every year.
Why adopt a rescue pet from Woodgreen?
Adopting a rescue or buying a pet is a big decision. But we’re here to support you, every step of the way.
We receive thousands of enquiries every month from people looking to adopt one of our pets.
Here are just a few reasons why you’ve come to the right place for help with finding a furry friend:
We do everything possible to help our pets get ready for their new homes
Many of the pets in our care have suffered neglect and are looking for specific types of homes. We help them get back on their paws and into loving new homes – find out how.
We always start with the pet’s needs when finding a match
We work hard to find every pet the perfect match. Some rescue pets have very particular or complex needs. This means that it can sometimes take a while to match you with a pet, especially if you’re interested in adopting a dog.
And we’re here for far more than cats and dogs
Did you know we rehome a wide range of small pet species too? From rabbits, hamsters, mice and guinea pigs to ferrets, chinchillas and degus. We also take in chickens, ducks and even the odd goose!
We're here for you on your journey to finding a pet, every step of the way
It’s natural that you might have some questions before getting started – and there’s a good chance you’ll find the answers in our FAQs. If not, get in touch and we’d be happy to help.
Adopt rescue rodents and outdoor pets
It’s not just cats and dogs that come to Woodgreen. If you’re looking for a different species to adopt, we often have lots of other furry friends in our care waiting for new homes too.
