Pet advice from Woodgreen
From behavioural issues to dietary needs and everything in between, we’ve got yo...
People often contact us about their pets and don’t think to mention they have other furry family members in the home. This was the case for our Outreach team on a home visit to check a cat.
While they were in the home, the team were introduced to the owner’s mice and we were able to identify the pair as male and female. As the owner was unaware, our team offered some advice to separate them and to be on baby watch.
Sure enough, the female gave birth to nine baby mice a week later. To our delight, the owner had an amazing accommodation set up for the mice and wanted to keep them all. So we helped to get the dad and boys neutered so they could live together as one group of mice or in smaller groups. Neutering male mice isn’t a very common procedure, but we were pleased to hear it was a great success.
We’re told that all the mice are living together and they’re all happy and healthy.
