Family and environment

What kind of family am I looking for?

Guinea pigs can make lovely pets for all the family, they are loveable and charming little animals. Our youngsters are all building up their confidence with people, some are still a bit on the nervous side. Our friendly team will talk through which of our pairs/groups will suit you best.

What type of environment would suit me?

Guinea pigs can live indoors or outside; they enjoy having plenty of time on the grass grazing during good weather days. The minimum accommodation for a pair of females should consist of a 5ft by 2ft (152cm by 61cm) hutch or indoor cage and a 6ft long by 4ft wide by 18 inches high (183cm by 122 cm) wooden framed run with a removable/hinged lid for the grass. A pair of males require slightly more space, so a 6ft by 2ft (183cm by 61cm) hutch or indoor cage. The run can be the same size as for females.
