Meet Belle 🩶
Beautiful Belle is a stunning grey, long-haired girl who is looking for a patient and understanding home where she can settle at her own pace with someone who will respect her boundaries.
Belle can find new environments quite overwhelming, and when she feels overstimulated or unsure, she may hiss or tell you that she needs some space. This isn’t her being unfriendly — she simply needs time to feel safe and learn that she can trust you.
Once she begins to relax, Belle is already showing signs that she does want affection and companionship. She may brush gently against your legs, meow at the door to let you know she’s there, and show curiosity about what you’re doing.
Belle will need a home where her humans understand that affection has to be on her terms. She needs someone who will allow her to approach when she feels ready, rather than expecting instant cuddles or interaction. With patience, consistency and plenty of time, we hope Belle will become much more confident and comfortable.
This pet has historic medical concerns, namely an episode of cystitis in 2020, that will require consideration before this pet is rehomed. Our rehoming team will be able to give you further information if you apply to rehome this pet and you are a successful match. We would also advise that any medical concern, be that historic or ongoing, is discussed with your own vet prior to any book out appointment.
Has been used to visiting dogs before and mainly ignored them so should be okay to live with a cat friendly dog.
Belle will be happiest as the only cat in the home.
Okay to live with small pets which are securely housed.
Belle can get overstimulated easily and hiss, as well as has a history of not getting along well with children in the home, so currently Belle is looking for a home with adults only to respect her boundaries.
Belle will need both indoor and outdoor access in her new home, ideally in a low traffic area with a secure garden for her to get used to the outdoors safely as she has never been outside.
