Support and Health

How much training will I need?

Needs some support

Can I be left alone?

Potentially, once settled

We have no history on how Ben copes when on his own and so his home alone time should therefore be built up very gradually in a new home. He is also currently not housetrained so will need someone around to help with this training.

Do I have any medical conditions?

Existing conditions

Ben has a Gait abnormality, that will require consideration before this pet is rehomed. Our rehoming team will be able to give you further information if you apply to rehome them and you are a successful match.

We would also advise that any medical conditions, be that historic or ongoing, are discussed with your own vet prior to taking them home.

Who I can live with

Can I live with dogs?

No

Can I live with cats?

No

Can I live with small pets?

No

Additional information

We feel as he can be a bit unsure and is not very well socialised, that he would be best as the only dog in the home.

He would benefit from gradual and appropriate socialisation around other dogs as he can be vocal and worried around them. He is having training to help with this reaction, which will need to be continued in a new home.

Family and environment

What kind of family am I looking for?

Ben will need to live in a home with children over the age of 8 years. He can be a bit nervous around new people and will need children who can respect when he’s asking for space.

In his previous home, Ben was very cuddly with his people and would like to curl up on laps. If his owners stopped petting him he would nudge them asking for more.

What type of environment would suit me?

Ben will need a private and secure garden in his new home. He is used to having free access to one and this would allow him space to explore and play outside off-lead. It would also help with his toilet training.

About Ben

Meet Ben, an adorable Terrier cross with a playful spirit and a gentle heart. Ben can be a little shy when meeting new people, but soon warms up and you’ll discover a sweet, affectionate boy who loves being part of the fun.

Once he feels comfortable, Ben’s playful side really shines! He enjoys squeaky toys, fusses, and zooming around with his favourite people. He’s looking for a calm and loving home where he can build his confidence at his own pace and enjoy plenty of playtime along the way.

Ben would make a wonderful companion for someone who understands that the best friendships take a little time to grow. In return, you’ll gain a loyal best friend with lots of love to give.
